About Me

Hello fashionistas! I am Aimee Hoodlebrink and I would like to tell you a little about myself considering I am one of the editors and bloggers here at College Fashio! Let’s start at the beginning with my hobbies.

I am a small town Indiana girl, and when I say small town I mean three stoplights, two gas stations, no Walmart, and about 1,700 people (and decreasing). This kind of living definitely shaped me into who I am today. After being a three-sport athlete in high school, I came to love sports and staying active. I enjoy watching sports on TV and trying out any type I haven’t yet tried. My next hobby comes from the fact that there is next to nothing fun to do in a town like mine (I mean, you can’t even go walk around Walmart for fun). This hobby would be video games. My love for video games began with the GameCube and extended into more Nintendo games and consoles as well as The Sims. My final hobby is hanging out with friends and family. Family is especially a big part of my life. I am the youngest of four children so I’ve totally gotten the good end of the stick, which I like to rub into my older siblings’ faces. My family’s favorite part of being together is doing adventurous activities. We’ve always enjoyed hiking and simply exploring, but the past couple years we’ve taken our adventures to new heights. We went skydiving. This has to be the most thrilling and incredible experience I’ve ever had.

You might be wondering why I am involved in a college fashion blog? Well currently, I go to Ball State University and am majoring in Accounting. I’ve always been interested in fashion and always loved shopping (but who doesn’t?). I’ve also always found it fascinating how the trends of fashion shift. Almost every time a new trend starts, I am hesitant about it, saying things to myself like “why is that popular?” or “why would anyone wear that?” However, on every occasion I, too, start to follow that trend. I simply find the science behind fashion fascinating.

It’s hard for me to describe my personal style. Lately, I’ve resorted to wearing more comfortable clothes around campus – big sweatshirts, oversized T-shirts, leggings – however, I do enjoy getting all dressed up, too. The best way I can think to describe to you my fashion sense would be to tell you my favorite places to shop. Unlike many people my age, I am not big on online shopping especially for clothes. I like to try everything on before I buy it, so I mainly go to malls and outlet stores. My favorite places to shop include TJ Maxx, American Eagle, Aerie, and H&M. I mostly shop in the sales or clearance sections because I like to get the most bang for my buck. Hopefully, I can showcase my style more through my blog posts for you to get a better understanding!
