How to Pack to go Home

If you’re like me, you probably hate doing laundry. This is why when you go home you should bring your laundry home so that your amazing and loving mother can do your laundry for you. When your mom complains about you bringing home all your laundry just tell her that your trying to save money. I actually do my own laundry so my mom doesn’t complain, but if you are one of those people that makes your mom do your laundry make sure that you are very nice about it because she isn’t used to doing it for you anymore. Of course, having the ability to bring your laundry home is an important factor in if you can make this happen. If you are taking the bus home for the weekend, I would not recommend hauling all your laundry home, but that’s just me.

Not only can you bring your laundry home, but you can also bring any clothes that you don’t plan on wearing anytime soon while you are at school. By doing this you can make space for the clothes that you will bring back with you. I’m going home this weekend for some doctor’s appointments and I’m planning on bring my summer clothes home so that I can bring my warm weather clothes to school because I won’t be home again until Winter Break. I can’t wait to get my warm clothes because it has been getting down into the low 40s recently and my light fleece jacket just isn’t cutting it anymore.

Besides your laundry and clothes that you won’t need at school for a while, you will also need to bring home whatever you plan on wearing for the time that you are home. I also recommend doing your laundry the night before you head back to school so that all of the clothes that you wore while you were home can be washed for when you go back to school and you won’t be bringing back dirty laundry to school.

So that takes care of the clothes part of what you need to bring home, but what about everything else. You’ll want to bring home any chargers and electronics that you might need while you are home. For myself this usually means my laptop, phone, headphones, and watch plus all the chargers for those things. And of course you’ll be bringing your homework home, right? I’ve been trying really hard to get ahead on my homework so that I don’t have to do anything while I’m home, but I’ll probably have to work on something. All these things are important to not leave at home so make sure that you don’t leave anything important behind. In fact, if you are worried about leaving it behind, you probably shouldn’t bring it in the first place.

Toiletries are also a necessity. Make sure that you bring all your necessary products home. You’d hate to get home and realize that you forgot your retainer at school, wouldn’t you? Me neither, but we can all pretend to be good about wearing our retainer, I mean that’s what we tell our dentist’s.

Possibly the most important things to remember are your keys, ID, and your wallet. Make sure that you will be able to get back into your dorm, or house. You also will need to remember to have your driver’s license and insurance card if you will be driving home. Please remember to be safe people.

All this stuff can be a lot to keep track of when you go home so it might be a good idea to make a list of all the things that you need to remember to bring back to school. That’s what I have been doing recently and trust me, it helps.

I hope that this helps you guys know what you should pack when you go home. I know that it can be hard to head back to school after being home, so don’t forget to bring some comfort food back with you to school. Trust me, it helps 😊
