Welcome Back Y’all!

This past weekend was my 20th birthday, my big step out of teenager-dom. As part of the usual birthday tradition, I recieved gifts. Normally I am someone who gets a bit awkward with gift giving and would rather just get a nice hug or something, but this year my boyfriend got me a gift that every girl dreams of. I know what you’re thinking, “How did he find something this perfect for you? It’s so beautiful! It must have been so expensive. It fit you perfectly.” You’ve guessed right, I was gifted something truly crafted by the gods themselves - a HUGGLE!! Now, you may be a bit confused as to what a Huggle is, so let me explain it to you.

A Huggle is the ultimate garment of comfort. Essentially, it is a giant hoodie made out of a two sided blanket that has fluffy sherpa on one side, and fuzzy fleece on the outside. It is a one-size fits all product that was originally marketing through TV commercials, but now has made its way to the lovely online aisles of Amazon. Now that you understand the basic concept of a Huggle, I am here to convince you why it is a comfy clothing must-have for us aging college students.

It’s Comfy

Imagine being wrapped in warm, soft clouds. That’s how wearing a huggle feels. The Huggle is very loose fitting, so it doesn't restrict any movement or squeeze on any stomach or arms. The Sherpa lining keeps you warm while the loose fit keeps you feeling breezy and ventilated. It has the typical elastic wrist band at the end of the arms, so your hands won't get caught in it like they would in a Snuggie or typical blanket.

It’s Economic

Why buy a blanket and a hoodie and sweatpants? The Huggle is large enough to fit over one’s entire body when curled up in a ball or sitting cross legged, so it eliminates the need for buying pants, a shirt, AND a blanket to keep you warm over that outfit. It’s like the three in one body wash-shampoo-conditioner of clothing! You will save money by not buying more blankets that are large enough for you to cover your head and entire body and feel like a small child again and you’ll save money on your heating bill by keeping warm!

It’s Fashionable

The satisfaction you will receive by seeing the awe and jealousy of your peers as you stroll in the ultimate fashion of a reversible fleece blanket hoodie is enough for you to buy it immediately after reading this post. I can state for a fact that people will envy your confort and state “You look so comfy and cute”. Doesn’t everyone want to feel cute and comfy? If you go to the dining hall with a blanket around your shoulders, people might judge you, but going to the dining hall wearing a Huggle and you’ll feel like you’re on the red carpet. The Huggle has a loose fit, so it will hide any potential bloat from eating too many crisps over the weekend and will make you feel like a tiny cute elf!

It will save you from embarrassment

This is my own personal testimony. Unfortunately for me, I wake up each night around 1 am to make a bathroom run. I usually sleep in a big t shirt and underwear because pants are just too dang restricting. Normally I grab a pair of shorts to cover up, but this time I decided to just go for it. It was 1 am on a Wednesday night, who was going to see me take the two steps to the bathroom? Normally this would have been okay, but unfortunately I forgot my keys in the bathroom and also locked myself out of my dorm. There I was, standing in the hallway with no pants on. Long story short, I had to walk to the other side of the building to my roommate’s boyfriend’s dorm where she was sleeping and people definitely saw me without pants. If I had a Huggle, I could’ve easily tossed that on and its length would have covered me enough to save my butt...literally.

With these points in mind, I hope that you too can achieve the ultimate comfort and purchase an incredible Huggle. It’s a solid investment that will bring you joy for years to come! And yes, I was wearing the huggle as I wrote this... don't judge

Best,

Lena
